Boston’s Best Barbecue Two Years Running

Around this time every year, those who live in and around Boston eagerly await the release of Boston magazine’s July issue where they crown the Best of Boston across hundreds of businesses.  This year, we are honored to be awarded Best Barbecue in Boston magazine’s Best of Boston issue (2019). 

Winning awards, though not foreign to Andy Husbands on the BBQ circuit (read about their win at the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Barbecue Invitational and their love of Harpoon’s Barbecue Competition) makes this coveted title from Boston magazine no less significant.

“Earning the nod for the Best Barbecue in Boston is different than all those competition trophies,” said Andy.  “The Best of Boston award for Best Barbecue acknowledges the team that goes into making The Smoke Shop the leader in Boston barbecue.” Our pit masters work tirelessly all day and night to smoke our meat to near perfection while our service staff aim to make each guest’s visit feel welcoming and memorable.  Barbecue is the cuisine of celebration, so we are psyched to celebrate this most special award.
