Smoking a whole hog to many is the ultimate BBQ challenge. At the least, smoking a whole hog at your next party is sure to impress your guests. During this class, our Pitmaster Andy Husbands breaks down the process along with taking you through pork butt, Memphis dry rub ribs, and pork cheeks using recipes from his latest cookbook, The Smoke Shop’s Backyard BBQ. Attendees will also watch a cocktail demonstration from our Beverage Director and will walk away with a packet of recipes from the day.
Tickets include a meal featuring the meats made in the class, a cocktail demonstration, take-home items, tax and gratuity, and more.

BBQ classes to help you master your pit.
SMOKED is our annual series of BBQ classes hosted at Smoke Shop BBQ and led by Andy Husbands. Each year’s curriculum consists of 5+ class sessions, each devoted to a specific meat, dish or BBQ technique. Classes are kept small so that attendees can get up close and personal with the smokers and Andy, and benefit from a more hands on experience. You will walk away from each class with specific BBQ knowledge, tips, tricks, and recipes, honed by Andy over his 25+ years as a chef and Pitmaster. Attendees may choose to take one class or as many as the entire year’s curriculum. There are no rules, except to come prepared to master your pit.
